This step-by-step checklist is designed to guide you through the process of planning, deploying, and optimizing a hydro-cooled mining site, with a focus on uptime, safety, and long-term profitability.

Phase 1: Feasibility and Site Assessment

  • Confirm high-flow, stable water source (river, reservoir, treated wastewater)
  • Assess seasonal variability and drought risk
  • Identify available power capacity and connection timeline
  • Check power pricing 
  • Review ambient climate (prefer <20°C average)
  • Research local zoning laws and noise regulations
  • Investigate water discharge permitting and environmental compliance
  • Evaluate internet access and latency to mining pools

Phase 2: Infrastructure and Facility Preparation

  • Secure property with appropriate zoning
  • Level ground for AntSpace HK3 or other container footprint
  • Install electrical infrastructure (transformers, switchgear, PDUs)
  • Set up network infrastructure (fiber line, routers, firewall)
  • Connect closed-loop cooling tower and prep water lines
  • Source coolant with antifreeze and corrosion inhibitors
  • Install security systems: cameras, access control, signage
  • Ensure UL/CUL-certified components are used throughout

  • Connect container to power supply and cooling tower
  • Prime system and fill coolant (target flow: 85 m3/h)
  • Pressure test entire cooling system and monitor flow balance

  • Configure dashboard access (Braiins OS+, Foreman, etc.)
  • Test for optimal water inlet/outlet temperatures (35°C/45°C)
  • Run diagnostics on all ASICs before going live

Phase 4: Maintenance Schedule Setup

  • Schedule monthly filter cleanings
  • Set reminder for coolant pH test every 6 months (target 7-9)
  • Create quarterly inspection checklist (cooling tower, flow meters, sensors)
  • Monitor system performance with IoT alerts
  • Track miner-level J/TH efficiency + uptime weekly
  • Establish replacement inventory: spare pumps, filters, fans, and sensors
